Clips for Cloak-013

Clip mantle brass, consisting of two plates decorated with stones in the glass paste. On the mantle is fixed by two brooches. A double chain connects the two parts, allowing the closure of the mantle. Total lenght 32,00 cm about.

There are historical artifacts of the thirteenth century to confirm the existence of this type of closure, but already in very ancient times the system was used. See image, from the British Museum of London.
